Concessionaire of Clermont-Ferrand Auvergne airport, VINCI Airports has implemented new health measures throughout its network to ensure the protection of passengers and employees. In addition to the new protocols implemented by airlines, these measures allow the gradual resumption of services under the best health safety conditions.

Thus, at Clermont-Ferrand Auvergne airport, in order to enable passengers to comply with the obligation to wear masks, mask supply points will be made available to them. During the very first days of the resumption of traffic and in order to install this new habit, masks will be provided to passengers who do not have one. The cleaning and disinfection of spaces and equipment will be reinforced, as well as the ventilation of the terminal. Counter windows will be put in place at the various desks, numerous hydro-alcoholic gel distribution points will be accessible to passengers and a social distancing facility will be put in place within the queues through the installation of ground markings.

These measures will be supplemented by a major awareness-raising campaign that VINCI Airports is deploying throughout its network in France and abroad, using posters, screens and sound messages reminding passengers of the rules of hygiene and barrier gestures.

Clermont-Ferrand Auvergne airport, which has been mobilized without interruption in recent weeks, especially for the transport of patients, nurses and medical equipment as well as for freight transportation pursues its mission to support the Auvergne region, its local companies and its inhabitants with the resumption of passenger traffic.

Nicolas Pèlerin, Director of Clermont-Ferrand Auvergne Airport, specifies: "We are very pleased with this resumption of passenger traffic. The airport is actively preparing itself thanks to a major health system to ensure the protection of passengers and our employees.  These first flights, scheduled by our partner Air France, will reconnect the Clermont-Ferrand area to Paris and thus boost the related economic exchanges".

Martine GUIBERT, President of the Syndicat Mixte (SMACFA) owner-delegate of Clermont-Ferrand Auvergne airport and Vice-President of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region in charge of transport, stresses: "I have several times called upon Jean-Baptiste DJEBBARI, Secretary of State in charge of transport, for a rapid resumption of Parisian services from Clermont-Ferrand Auvergne airport and I am pleased at this resumption. However, I shall nonetheless continue to call on Air France to propose a more ambitious programme corresponding to regional needs and economic actors as soon as possible, with a timetable showing an increase in the number of daily and weekly flights in June and in medium term”.
