Culiacán airport

Culiacán International Airport, also known as Bachigualato Federal International Airport, is located in Culiacán, in the state of Sinaloa, in northwestern Mexico.
Culiacan Airport is one of the 10 busiest airports in Mexico, with the most domestic traffic in the state of Sinaloa and the second most international traffic. In 2021, almost 2 million passengers used the airport.

In December 2022, VINCI Airports finalised the acquisition of Fintech’s 29.99% stake in OMA (Grupo Aeroportuario del Centro Norte), thereby becoming the largest shareholder in this Mexican airport operator. The transaction follows the signature of an agreement with OMA’s former shareholder in July 2022.

With this stake in a company holding a concession that will mature in 25 years, VINCI Airports is moving into Mexico and, as OMA’s largest shareholder, it will contribute to operating 13 airports in a country with high growth potential.

In early 2023, Culiacán Airport and all of OMA’s Mexican airports received their first ACA accreditation.
