Nantes Atlantique Airport

Nantes Atlantique Airport

Member of the VINCI Airports network since 2011, Nantes Atlantique Airport, the leading airport in Western France, serves over 90 direct destinations via 20 scheduled airlines, including 4 based carriers (vs 1 in 2011), and is connected to the main international hubs.

In 2025, the airport launched a completely revamped and diversified retail offering, featuring 16 modernised retail outlets and new brands, enhancing the passenger experience. A priority queue service and round-the-clock assistance for passengers with reduced mobility (PRM) further improve passenger comfort and the airport’s accessibility.

According to the latest Utopies study (dated 2020, based on 2019 data), Nantes Atlantique Airport’s operations generate more than 3,000 direct jobs, support 13,250 jobs in the Loire-Atlantique province and contribute €0.9 billion to the regional GDP, of which €744 million is in the Loire-Atlantique region alone.

Committed to decarbonisation, Nantes Atlantique has reduced its CO₂ emissions by nearly 50 per cent between 2019 and 2025. The project to electrify airport operations was implemented in early 2026. Co-funded to the tune of €15 million, it has led to the creation of 12 electrified aircraft stands and 100 charging points for electric vehicles, enabling an annual reduction of 2,400 tonnes of CO₂. Thanks to these initiatives, Nantes Atlantique Airport achieved Level 4 Airport Carbon Accreditation* by the end of 2024 and is aiming for net-zero emissions (Scopes 1 and 2) by 2030.

ISO 9001-certified for its quality management, Nantes Atlantique embodies an ambitious energy transition and an ever-improving service for the benefit of passengers.

*a benchmark programme run by the ACI (Airports Council International) that assesses the decarbonisation of airport operations and airports’ contribution to aviation’s overall ‘net-zero carbon’ pathway by 2050.
