Praia airport

Located on the island of Santiago, around 3 km northeast of the center of Praia, the capital of Cape Verde, Praia international airport has been operated by VINCI Airports since July 2023.  With its runway measuring 2,100 meters long and 45 meters wide, which can accommodate up to six medium-sized aircraft, Praia airport replaced the former Francisco Mendes airport, located to the east of the center of Praia, on October 23, 2005. With a capacity of around 1,300 passengers/hour, between domestic and international flights, this airport, located 95 metres above sea level, enables travellers to discover the largest island in the Cape Verde archipelago.
