Torreón airport

Torreón International Airport, or Francisco Sarabia International Airport, serves the city of Torreón, in the region of La Laguna, one of the largest industrial and commercial one in Mexico. It is the most important airport in the state of Coahuila with national and international flights.

In December 2022, VINCI Airports finalised the acquisition of Fintech’s 29.99% stake in OMA (Grupo Aeroportuario del Centro Norte), thereby becoming the largest shareholder in this Mexican airport operator. The transaction follows the signature of an agreement with OMA’s former shareholder in July 2022.

With this stake in a company holding a concession that will mature in 25 years, VINCI Airports is moving into Mexico and, as OMA’s largest shareholder, it will contribute to operating 13 airports in a country with high growth potential.

The region of La Laguna stands out for its agricultural activities (cotton, melon...) and for the fact that it has the largest dairy basin in the country.

The geographical location of Torreón airport, due to its proximity to the United States, makes it a strategic center for the transportation of executives and goods.

The Torreón International Airport has marked Mexico's aeronautical history as it was the first airport in the country to receive a jet aircraft in 1954.

In early 2023, Torreón Airport and all of OMA’s Mexican airports received their first ACA accreditation.
