Zihuatanejo airport

The Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo International Airport is located in the state of Guerrero, on the Pacific Ocean coast of Mexico.
In 2021, 434,205 passengers passed through the airport to visit the beaches and hotels of the resorts of Ixtapa and Zihuatanejo. The airport is served by 8 airlines and offers several restaurants and stores in its terminal.

In December 2022, VINCI Airports finalised the acquisition of Fintech’s 29.99% stake in OMA (Grupo Aeroportuario del Centro Norte), thereby becoming the largest shareholder in this Mexican airport operator. The transaction follows the signature of an agreement with OMA’s former shareholder in July 2022.
With this stake in a company holding a concession that will mature in 25 years, VINCI Airports is moving into Mexico and, as OMA’s largest shareholder, it will contribute to operating 13 airports in a country with high growth potential.

In early 2023, Zihuatanejo Airport and all of OMA’s Mexican airports received their first ACA accreditation.
