Belfast International Airport receives AHA health accreditation

As a member of the VINCI Airports network, Belfast International Airport has obtained its health accreditation certificate from Airport Council International (ACI). Once again, this is a welcomed reward for the international "Protecting each other" campaign developed and promoted by VINCI Airports throughout its network of 45 airports.

This award recognises the industry's best practice in health and hygiene measures implemented in response to Covid-19. To ensure the protection of passengers and employees alike, VINCI Airports has implemented sanitary measures in all the airports of its network: hydro-alcoholic gel available at many distribution points, reinforced cleaning and disinfection of areas and equipment, system of floor markings allowing physical separation in queues, etc.. They are based on the hygiene recommendations issued by the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO).

The stringent sanitary measures currently in place at the airport are also helping to restore confidence in air travel.

Other airports in the VINCI Airports network have already received this accreditation, for instance in Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic or Cambodia.
