Belgrade-Lyon: a new direct flight between two airports of the VINCI Airports network
Since the 15th of June 2019, the Wizz Air company connects the airports of Belgrade in Serbia and Lyon-Saint-Exupéry by proposing flights on Tuesdays and Sundays, all year long.
Having set a new record in 2018 when it handled more than 11 million passengers, Lyon-Saint Exupéry airport is continuing its strategy of new routes opening and developing air traffic by offering return flights every Tuesdays and Sundays to and from Belgrade airport. Nikola Tesla Airport in Belgrade joined the VINCI Airports’ network of 46 airports in 2018, two years after the integration of Aéroports de Lyon.
The flights are operated by the Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air which established its base in Belgrade in 2011 and has already received 4 million passengers on its flights from Serbia.
This new connection between Belgrade and Lyon illustrates the strong dynamic of traffic development with the teams of each airport of the VINCI Airports network.
