Chambéry Savoie Mont Blanc airport: 2nd edition of the “Supercars for Smiles”, an event organised for the benefit of the Sourire d'enfant association
On the 25th of August, VINCI Airports, main sponsor of the Supercars for Smiles event, welcomed some 40 prestigious cars on the tarmac of Chambéry Savoie Mont Blanc airport, allowing the public to board luxury vehicles to enjoy a baptism on a short-lived circuit and to donate the funds raised to the "Sourire d'enfant" association.
In close collaboration with the prefecture, the Air Navigation Service and the Air Transport Police, airside access has been decommissioned in order to welcome visitors for their baptism on the aircraft parking lot, exceptionally requiring restrictions to land at the airport.
Last year, more than 2,000 visitors were present and 300 baptisms were held, allowing to help several families and paediatric services in the hospitals of Annecy, Saint-Julien-en-Genevois, Clermont-Ferrand and Lyon (Vinatier).
Sponsor of the event, Guerlain Chicherit, Rallycross World Championship driver, former Dakar Rally participant, former Freeride ski champion, has made baptisms aboard his new generation Alpine A110.
