Dominican Republic: Dominican airports Puerto Plata and Santo Domingo receive two awards for their inclusive furniture destined to people with disabilities
On August 6, the Dominican National Council for the Disabled (Conadis) along with the United Nations Development Program, handed out a recognition of importance to two of the VINCI airports network members, Puerto Plata and Las Américas airports.
For the second successive year, both airports received the Inclusive Dominican Republic 2020 Award at its highest level, being gold seal, in the category of Universal Accessibility and Design for All. These labels were attributed based on the major accessible installations that VINCI Airports has set in the airports, designed to allow people with disabilities to enjoy a comfortable and fluid passenger experience.
The “Inclusive Dominican Republic” award seeks to promote and recognize good practices that favor full inclusion and the quality of life of people with disabilities and their families in the Dominican Republic. The installations are part of VINCI Airports ambition to modernize its infrastructures, to offer the most inclusive and pleasant experience to all passengers.
