Malindo Air connects Kuala Lumpur to Phnom Penh airport
On December 1, 2017, Malindo Air’s maiden flight from Kuala Lumpur touched down at Phnom Penh airport. This new service, operated daily, reflects solid arrivals from Malaysia and the Malaysian hub.
A water cannon salute and traditional Khmer welcoming dance “Chai Yam” greeted the opening route of one of the fastest growing regional airlines. For the launching flight, 125 passengers were onboard.
Éric Delobel, CEO of Cambodia Airports reminded travellers from Malaysia have been steadily rising and are among the top 5 at Phnom Penh International Airport.
Coming after the launch on last July of the link between Kuala Lumpur and Sihanoukville, the country’s main resort town, this new connection showcases the strong traffic from and to Malaysia as well as the continuous work of VINCI Airports airline marketing teams to develop traffic.
