Nantes Atlantique airport offers a new priority line for families during school vacations
Tested in July and August, the new service, specially designed for families, made it easier for 117,000 passengers to pass through security screening. In view of this success, Nantes airport wishes to replicate this service during each school holiday period.
On July 4, Nantes Atlantique airport launched a service to improve the flow of security controls during busy periods, with the installation of a Priority Screening Inspection Station’s line for families: specific route (clearly identified and enlivened with illustrations on the walls to pass the controls with a smile) and a small gift at the end of the journey for young children: a total of 8,000 pencils and game books were distributed this summer.
This new route reduces waiting time (8 minutes on average) for all travellers and gives a focus of attention to families, for whom the stress of managing children in an unusual environment is sometimes added to the stress of going on holiday. This service illustrates VINCI Airports' strategy to continuously improve the experience of its passengers.
