Osaka airport ranked as world’s most punctual airport in Large Airports category
Osaka airport ranks top in list of most punctual airports of OAG Punctuality League 2018, in Large Airports category.
U.K.-based air travel intelligence firm OAG Aviation Worldwide Limited (OAG) has revealed its 2018 Punctuality League, the authoritative ranking of the on-time performance of airports worldwide, naming Osaka airport, in Japan, the world’s most punctual airport in the Large Airports category (airports with departing scheduled seats between 10 and 20 million per annum).
This result shows the day-to-day efforts of Osaka airport’s teams as well as their daily work with the airlines serving at Osaka airport. This also highlights the commitment of Kansai Airports, a consortium made up of VINCI Airports and ORIX, to offer the passengers the most comfortable experience.
The league compares flights records covering the 2017 calendar year to create a ranking of the best on-time-performance (OTP) for the world's largest airlines and airports by category. The ranking is based on the proportion of scheduled flights that arrive or depart within 14 minutes and 59 seconds of their scheduled times.
