Rennes Bretagne Airport and Lufthansa inaugurate the first flight between Rennes and Frankfurt

This Tuesday, May 3, 2022, the first flight from Frankfurt landed at Rennes Bretagne Airport. This route is operated by Lufthansa, a new company for Rennes airport. This is the first time that Brittany has been linked to Germany by a direct flight.

VINCI Airports is delighted to welcome a new airline to Rennes Airport and thus connect Brittany to Germany with a route to Frankfurt, 3 times a week (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday).

With this new connection to a major European hub, Rennes Bretagne Airport will offer passengers a network of over 150 destinations.
This new route also meets a strong expectation of the Breton economic world, Germany being a major economic partner for the region.

To celebrate this inauguration, Sabine Granger (Acting President of Rennes Airport, Director of French regional airports at VINCI Airports), Laurent Giboire (Chairman of the Strategic Council) and Thadee Nawrocki (Director of Sales France and Luxembourg at Lufthansa) were present on the tarmac to welcome this first flight.
