Rennes Bretagne airport launches first flight out of Europe to Casablanca

A long awaited line connecting the VINCI Airports operated airport Rennes Bretagne to Casablanca, was inaugurated last week in the presence of Najoua El Berrak, the Consul General of Morocco for the Grand-Ouest region, and Gérard Lahellec, vice-president of the Brittany region in charge of transports. This new connection is the first flight out of Europe the airport hosts, in line with VINCI Airports’ ambition to connect territories and widen a positive mobility dynamic.

This new line to Morocco has already shown greatly encouraging signs, as the first flight was fully booked within a few days.
Nathalie Ricard, CEO of Rennes Bretagne airport, declared: “It will serve Moroccans and binational citizens, but also economic players, because Morocco is a gateway to Africa." She added; “Despite the context, mobility remains very important and essential to the economic and touristic rebound in the Brittany region. Morocco is a country in high demand from Rennes for both business and leisure trips”.

The new line will be operated twice a week by Air Arabia, on Mondays and Fridays, all year long.
