Salvador Bahia and Santiago airports celebrate Latin-American cuisine
To celebrate the resumption of the route Salvador–Santiago, operated by JetSmart, both VINCI Airports’ network members got together in a live show on YouTube, during which a Brazilian and a Chilean chefs presented some typical dishes from their countries.

The renowned chef Tereza Paim talked about typical dishes from Bahia – which has an extremely rich and unique cuisine – and how culture, history and local gastronomy are connected in Salvador. She is currently in the position of head Chef at Casa de Tereza and signs the menu of an exclusive Salvador Bahia Airport’s restaurant, Mesa de Tereza. On the other hand, the skilled chef Silvana Mateluna shared her knowledge and love of Chilean diverse cuisine. She is the head of the Sheraton Santiago Hotel’s restaurant.
The virtual event named “Vem a Bahía” (Come to Bahia) was aimed to promote the resumption of the route Salvador de Bahia – Santiago, operated by JetSmart from December 30th. Twice a week, the airline will connect the two VINCI Airport’s facilities, a long-awaited flight resuming.
To lighten the spirits during these difficult times, and in line with the general ambition to promote local food and economy through its sense of place approach, VINCI Airports brings together two cultures and communities around a fun and original event!
