VINCI Airports and its partners create the largest ultra-fast charging hub in Portugal

Galp and ANA - Aeroportos de Portugal, S.A. (ANA) have established a partnership that will provide univer-sal charging solutions in the public car parks of Lisbon Airport integrated in the Mobi.E network. Under this agreement, the largest ultrafast charging hub in Portugal will be created, with 5 ultrafast 180 kW DC charg-ing points that allow 10 vehicles to be charged simultaneously.

This project also includes the provision and management of a public charging infrastructure, of universal access and integrated in the Mobi.E network, which has 41 normal EV charging sockets (AC) and 1 fast EV charging socket (DC), installed throughout the 13 car parks of Lisbon Airport - all already operational. There are also 48 private charging points for the ANA Group, all monitored through the GALP platform.
The ultrafast charging hub will be located in the car park called "Parque da Nora", in Rua C of Lisbon Airport (GPS: 38.779844, -9.125723) and will allow, depending on the type of vehicle, to charge the vehicle battery from 20% to 80% in 15 minutes.
The protocol signed between Galp and ANA lasts for 10 years and symbolises the clear commitment of the two companies with the goal of decarbonisation in the light vehicle transport sector.
For VINCI Airports, concessionaire of ANA, installing EV charging stations on and around its airport fuels the ambition to decarbonize the whole chain of mobility.  VINCI Airports targets the absolute reduction of emissions (scopes 1 and 2) and will achieve net zero emissions (NetZero) by 2030 for its airports in the European Union. Overall in the Lisbon region, ANA now has 97 electric vehicle charging points, including public and private stations.
For Galp, this is a new step in the path of innovation and leadership that the company has presented in the electric mobility market, in the launch and expansion of services and charging networks for electric vehicles.
Galp currently has more than 1,000 charging points and aims to reach 2025 with more than 10,000 points throughout the Iberian Peninsula, developing this strategy with fast and ultra-fast charging, both in Galp's network of stations and on public roads, shopping centres, car parks, retail chains or companies, as is the case of the protocol now established with ANA.
