VINCI Airports, partner of the Youth and Road Safety program in Cambodia
On August 19, VINCI Airports’ subsidiary Cambodia Airports, inks an agreement with the Cambodian Red Cross to financially support its Youth and Road Safety Program.
With this partnership, Cambodia Airports joins a nationwide priority implemented by Cambodian authorities aiming at making the country’s roads safer by alleviating traffic fatalities and injuries. The program will focus on educating youngsters at schools and youth clubs about the basics of road safety, including wearing helmets while riding motorbikes and the risks of driving under the influence of alcohol.
Road accidents are one of the main causes of fatalities in Cambodia. Road safety is a societal challenge that needs everyone’s involvement. VINCI Airports thus reaffirms its commitment to the territories by implementing tools for sustainable growth, such as in-house road safety awareness programs and the distribution of helmets to all employees at Cambodia Airports.
