CABO VERDE

Boavista airport

Boa Vista International Airport, located in the island of the same name, was inaugurated in 2007 on a former aerodrome. In 2010, its runway and infrastructure were extended to improve the capacity of airport operations. Renamed Aristides Pereira International Airport on November 19, 2011, the airport is currently Cape Verde's third busiest, and a point of arrival for many foreign and domestic tourists. With a runway 2,100 metres long and 45 metres wide, at an altitude of 26 metres above sea level, it can accommodate up to five medium-capacity aircraft and handle around 1,560 passengers per hour, contributing to the safety of those wishing to visit the archipelago's third largest island and enjoy its vast beaches and islets, ideal for scuba diving and snorkeling.
